Providing PCs to all village households in Sri Lanka. 2 PCs for two students. Mr Nimal Thissera had given money for Digital Butterflies project to buy 5 PCs some time back. Initially 5 students were selected from 5 eVillages. Out of the 5 two most hard working stundets were given money to buy the PCs. When other 3 students show significant achivement in their academic activities, the project disburse their money as well.

Monday, December 10, 2007. The Minister of Education has responded favourably to the matter while President Mahinda Rajapaksa is also encouraging the project.

The school psychosocial and counselling unit successfully ended an one day camp on 16th of March 2009 at the college premises. Mr Sarath Bandara, section head of the school organised the event. Royal College,Colombo, Sri Lanka donated music instruments to Pitakumbura Navodya School,Bibile,Sri Lanka on 09th of March 2009 at the school premises.

A new comer to our school from Bulupitiya came to the ICT centre and began to start the computer by saluting to the PC. It was very sensitive to me and felt the proud of the ethics of our culture!
